I am a proud product of East Los Angeles. I attended and graduated Garfield High School ('94). Later, I continued my education at East L.A. Community College. I obtained my B.A. and teaching credential at Cal State L.A. Currently, I am pursuing a higher level of education in technology. The enrollment with Azusa Pacific University has definitely  unlocked an amazing window of knowledge.

 

My strength and fortitude come from my children, my husband, my mother, and my whole family and in-laws. 

I always aspire and desire continuous growth both spiritual, and intellectually. 

 

As I graduated from Garfield, my first job as a paraprofessional inspired me to become an elementary teacher. Since then, I have been employed by LAUSD for almost 20 years. Time, and assignments have taken me through various schools and grade levels. I have been honored to meet and make great friendships with amazing teachers and administrators that continue to inspire me. Thanks to technology, I can continue to stay in touch with them regardless of the distance or location.
